Project # 3

Savannah is 13 and lucky to be alive.  In 2003 it was discovered that she had  a benign  brain tumor that destroys everything in its path.  She is loving and caring and just one of the sweetest little girls.  She has had at least 24 surgeries.  Last year because of her brain tumor, her tibia bone in her left leg stopped growing and she had to have surgery and she was in the hospital for 3 months.  Savannah just smiles and seems to love life.  She loves to sing and gave me the great honor of singing me one of her favorite songs during our shoot.
If you have time you should read her story http://brainbehappy.com/SavannahsStory/index.html

Project #2

-Mental illnesses are more common than cancer, diabetes, or heart disease

-According to the World Health Organization (WHO), 1 in every 4 people, or 25% per cent of individuals, develops one or more mental disorders at some stage in life. Today, 450 million people globally suffer from mental disorders in both developed and developing countries. Of these, 154 million suffer from depression, 25 million from schizophrenia, 91 million from alcohol use disorder and 15 million drug use disorder.

Cathleen is an amazing woman and wants to share her story with the world.  She has so much to offer and give and what people have thought she could never accomplish, she has and then some.  She has her own website to help others who have also suffered through mental health BrainBeHappy.com .  To read her full story go to  http://brainbehappy.com/CathleensStory/index.html

12 years and 50 miles

Jared and I have now officially been married for 12 years.  Yay.  Time just flies by.  We decided for this year's anniversary, that we would hike a 50 mile loop through Escalante, Ut.  It was amazing.  What an amazing thing to do with the person who you are spending eternity with.  I could not have asked for a better anniversary.  I wanted to share some of the fun with you guys, so I did take a few pictures to show how amazing it was.

My cute husband

Me holding a snake that we caught...I am terrified of snakes, but not going to let that stop me any more.

Leaving and hiked out of the canyon, started from the bottom by the trees...old mule trail
