crazy life

This is sometimes how I feel like my life is....chaotic.  We had a lot of fun yesterday doing this photo with the kids.  They actually asked me if they could throw flour around more often.  I will have to think about that one.  I guess I will just have to find another photo opt to allow it. 

February with April

I have been so lucky to shoot with April again.  It feels really good to go out and push myself.  I am not sure I do it as much as I need to.  We went out yesterday to shoot landscapes.  I am not a landscape photographer and I admire those who are.  It really was out of my comfort zone, but I believe being out of your comfort zone makes you strive to be better in whatever you do.  Well, here are a few of my favorites from our outing.

We have been planning this shoot for a year now and have finally gotten together.  I could not have done this shoot without the talented Emily Bytheway.  We started off doing a little remake of Snow White and then went to the the ghost haunted shoot.  It was so much fun. Here is a quick preview of our little shoot today.

Sweethearts

There is no better quote then this to describe teenage life.  You are You. 
I had the chance to do some photos for some beautiful and handsome teenagers before their Sweetheart dance, this Saturday.  Their individuality, their energy, their spontaneity, it is what makes life worth living.  It is always fun to capture such moments in life. 
                                    

For the love of teddy bears and puppies

I could not resist the opportunity to shoot my littlest with the things he loves, his teddy (baby) and Chico (our puppy).  One of his only comforts in life besides his family is his little bear that he sleeps with every night and is constantly carrying around with him.  He insists that his bear says its own prayers at night and that it must get tucked in and kissed just like him.  Chico is his friend to get into trouble with.  They run around the house, chase each other, and also Chico has decided he is the best to try to steal little treats from.  Oh, the friendships of a teddy bear and a puppy, what could be any better in life for a 3 year old!

Early day boredom

My kids are out of school early on Wednesdays.  My daughter decides that she just wants to read, while my oldest plays at a friend's house.  I have a few hours before I need to start dinner, so I grab my camera and take a few pictures of the 3 still at home.  Of course I have a photo of my oldest giving me attitude, because like I said she wants to read and not play photoshoot with mom. :)
