Woodland Drive

I went on a beautiful little drive with my youngest today.  Oh, how I love this season and all the colors. Who knew in one little drive we would see beautiful mountains, deer, wild turkey, and a family of peacocks?

I love October

There is something about October that I love.  A memory of a friend who held a little coven party once a year, where we did little spells, read stories and made potions with our girls.  Dancing around a bonfire in the middle of the city at night, in her backyard.  The thought of the energy we brought each other.  Oh, how I miss those days.

I love the smell of the leaves that fall and walking on them to hear them under my feet.  I love hot chocolate, and to be honest I drink it all year long.  I love dressing up with my kids.  Playing in the pumpkin patch for longer then expected because my children can not decide on which one to choose.  How I love this wonderful month of October

I choose to be a giver

We all choose to be a giver or a taker in this life
A taker only thinks of themselves and never gives in this world, but in the end they leave this world with nothing
A giver embraces, loves, and serves all those around them.  In the end they leave this world with everything
We all have the chance to choose to be a giver or a taker, I choose to be a giver, to love, embrace, and serve

On top of the mountain family portraits

A happy family is but an earlier heaven.--John Bowring

There are not enough words to describe this wonderful family.  I am just blessed to know them and to call them true friends.

Labor Day weekend

We went to the cabin again.  It was a lot of fun.  I always love to be with family.

The weather was a little gloomy the first 2 days, but by Monday, it was beautiful and you could not keep us in any longer.  We went 4 wheeling, hiking, and on some tours of some art galleries in Spring City.  I feel so blessed to live in Utah and to be able to enjoy the beauty it has to offer.

Birthday (I am blessed)

I had such an amazing birthday this weekend.  I can not express how grateful I am for my family and friends.  I am truly a blessed individual

I had the chance to take my kids on a picnic up on skyline trail by an abandoned cabin, beware of the zombies up there.  Later that day we took the kids, cousins, and some family crawdad fishing, and I think that was the highlight of the day for the little ones.  Afterwards, we went back to the cabin to cook them (not much meat on them, but they are good).

As we were getting ready to leave, the love of my life, my husband, stepped on 2 old rusted nails and we had to go to the hospital to get a tetanus shot for him.  Even though the last part of the day was a little more adventurous then I wanted, it was a great day and I would not have changed a thing about it.

Thanks to my sister in law Celeste for these 2 photos (top and bottom)

Back to School

Summer is almost over!  School starts back for us this coming week.  I have to be honest that I am somewhat sad.  I can not believe how fast this summer has gone and I am not truly ready for the kids to go back to school. In fact, I still have not done any of the school shopping yet.  I am a procrastinator.

In the event of school starting up this week, I had the chance to do a small photo shoot with some cute kids from the neighborhood.  These kids are always fun to work with!  Hope everyone is ready for school, unlike myself.
