Cabin

We spent the weekend at my husband's parent's cabin.  They are some of the hardest working people I know.  They have been working on this cabin for about 3 months non stop.  The cabin is almost done.  It is beautiful.  I got up early yesterday to go for a peaceful walk and take some photos.  It was cold, quiet, and breath taking.  Here are 2 pictures from my little stroll

Later I had the opportunity to go on another little walk with one of my little men.  We played in the snow, saw some wildlife and just spent some quality time with eachother.

Last, as we were driving away from the cabin, this was our view and I had the chance to take a quick photo before we were officially off on our way home.

Country Love

My husband's work bought some pigs a few weeks ago. I have always had a fond place in my heart for these little critters. I used to have a pig when I was younger and the pig became my younger sibling's care taker at times. Long story, but true. When I heard about the pigs, I had to get my hands on one and take some quick photos of it with my kidlets. Since we live in the country somewhat, there is no greater background then nature, so we got the pig, the kids, and went for it. It took a long time for the pig to settle down and finally feel comfortable with us. Here are a few shots from the day. Yes, some do not have the pig in it, pigs do not take direction as well as I would have liked.

Autumn leaves

A couple of weeks ago I noticed how quick the leaves in the neighborhood were changing.    I could not believe how sudden the change was.  I quickly grabbed my camera and went over to a friends house who had such vibrant leaves in her yard and took a few shots of my youngest.  I love this time of year for so many reasons; hot chocolate, soups, cuddling up and reading a good book, and for some odd reason I love the smell of fall. Hope everyone can get out and enjoy a little of the change of weather and enjoy the beauty that is around all of us.

Prewedding photos

“There is never a time or place for true love. It happens accidentally, in a heartbeat, in a single flashing, throbbing moment.” --Sarah Dessen

I had the chance to take pictures of the bride and groom tonight before the big day in a few little weeks.  Here is a small preview of our night and the fun that we had.

Maternity

There is nothing more amazing then having a baby growing inside of you.  I think it is one of the most beautiful things that life gives us.

"A baby is something you carry inside you for nine months, in your arms for three years and in your heart till the day you die" --Mary Mason
I had the chance tonight to do a shoot of a friend, fellow photographer, and a person who is an inspiration to me.  She amazes me in so many ways.  She also has her own blog that shares her knowledge of essential oils and so forth http://www.iamdrmom.blogspot.com/, I recommend all to read it.  Here is a quick preview of our little shoot from this evening.

Visiting Friends

We had the chance to go visit some friends today.  It is always nice to see Todd and Renee.  They are the most welcoming and friendly people you will ever meet.  I always feel blessed to say that I know them.

Like I said it is always so much fun to be around them.  The kids had a blast and jumped on the trampoline with a hose, did a slip and slide, had dinner, played some games, and for the finale, they had the chance to watch Renee shoot some fire dancers.  Thanks Todd and Renee for being and amazing and allowing us to be part of your life.

Reading

Reading a book is like re-writing it for yourself. You bring to a novel, anything you read, all your experience of the world. You bring your history and you read it in your own terms.
--Angela Carter
Oh, how I love to read.  Oh, how I love nature.  To combine them both is just bliss.
